🔒 Short version: Your child's data lives on your device. We don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and we never share it without your explicit consent. Cloud backup is entirely optional.
1. Who we are
Kartochka is a child health record app developed and operated by Arabcell FZCO, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates. We can be reached at support@kartochka.app.
2. What data we collect
Kartochka is designed for parents and caregivers. The information you enter belongs to you. Here is what the app may store:
- Child profile: name, date of birth, photo (optional), country of residence
- Health records: vaccination dates and doses, growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference), developmental milestones, doctor visit notes
- Medical information: blood type, allergy notes, medication notes, emergency contact
- Account information (optional): email address if you create an account for cloud backup
- Payment information: handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see your card details
We do not collect location data, contacts, browsing history, or any data unrelated to child health tracking.
3. How we store your data
Local-first by default. All data you enter is stored on your device using secure on-device storage. No account is required, and no data leaves your phone unless you explicitly turn on cloud backup.
Optional cloud backup. If you choose to enable cloud backup, your data is encrypted in transit and stored securely on servers provided by Supabase, Inc. (United States). You can delete your cloud data at any time from the app settings.
4. How we use your data
We use the data you enter solely to provide the app's features:
- Displaying your child's health records and vaccination schedule
- Sending vaccination reminders (if you enable notifications)
- Generating PDF health reports (premium feature)
- Syncing data across your devices (if you enable cloud backup)
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the app for you.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your data. We share limited information only with the service providers necessary to run the app:
- Supabase — cloud storage and authentication (only if you enable cloud backup)
- RevenueCat — subscription management (processes your subscription status, not payment details)
- Apple / Google — payment processing for subscriptions
All third-party providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
6. Children's privacy
Kartochka is designed for use by parents and caregivers aged 18 and over. The app is not directed at children and children do not use the app directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The health information you record about your child is treated as your data as the parent or legal guardian, entered and controlled entirely by you.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data stored about you and your child — it's visible directly in the app
- Delete your data at any time — use the "Delete child profile" option in settings, or uninstall the app to remove local data
- Export your data as a PDF report
- Withdraw consent for cloud backup at any time in app settings
- Request account deletion by emailing support@kartochka.app — we will process it within 30 days
If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
8. Data retention
Local data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. If you use cloud backup, your data is retained until you delete your account. After account deletion, data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Cloud data is stored in encrypted form. We do not store passwords in plain text.
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you discover a security issue, please contact us at support@kartochka.app.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice or by email (if you have an account). The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
